Born in Chicago, Illinois, Angel moved to Texas when he was young and after high school, he pursued his college education at Angelo State University. Angel received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology degree with a minor in Criminal Justice in 2019 and a Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology in 2023, both from Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas. In 2023, he received his license in the state of Texas.
Angel completed his internship within psychiatric hospitals, working within the inpatient hospital settings and facilitated group therapies in an outpatient setting. Angel has worked with a variety of mental health challenges such as major depression, anxiety, self-harm, self-esteem, and suicidal ideations/attempts. Within the settings, he has collaboratively worked with individuals and groups to identify healthy support systems and positive coping skills, identify strengths and safety planning, and create an action plan to improve aspects of an individual's well-being.
Angel is passionate about helping others grow and seeking their strengths and use those strengths to work through challenges to overcome obstacles that could present themselves in life.
When Angel is not working, he enjoys listening to music, watching sports, staying physically active at the gym, reading, and traveling
