Casey Dilworth came to San Angelo, TX in 2011 to finish out his time as an undergraduate at Angelo State University. In 2014, Casey graduated and received a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology focusing on youth and human connections. A few years later, Casey enrolled at Angelo State University to partake in their graduate-level Counseling Psychology Program. Upon graduation in 2021, Casey received a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology.
Casey began his journey in the field of mental health in 2015, working with incarcerated youth at the Juvenile Justice Center of Tom Green County through WTCG utilizing art as a means of self-expression within a restrictive environment. This opportunity became a meaningful experience for Casey and was a significant influence in deciding to further his education and enroll for the Counseling Psychology Program at Angelo State University. This experience only solidified Casey motivation to continue to do what he can to try and help others that are suffering in the community.
Casey is working with clients from the ages of 13 and up that may be experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, suicidal ideations, relationship problems, or influences of traumatic experience(s). He has been trained in Suicide Prevention techniques, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Cognitive Processing Therapy. In working with clients, Casey stands with the perspective of existentialism in that he believes the experience of an individual is their own and thinks of that individual as a free and responsible agent, empowering them to begin enacting the change they want through acts of their own will.
Casey is located on the 10th floor of the Cactus Hotel.
