Desirea received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology both from Angelo State University in San Angelo, TX. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) as well as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC).

Desirea prior experience includes working with individuals in an in-patient correctional/rehabilitation setting where she assisted in teaching classes, as well as, individual and group therapy.  She has experience working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, substance abuse, trauma, grief/loss, self-harm, suicidal ideations/attempts, as well as other mental health concerns. She has received additional training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, CAM’s Care Suicide Prevention training, and is a Clinically Certified Trauma Professional.

Desirea utilizes an integrative and collaborative approach to assist others with working through challenging situations and achieving their goals.
