Dusty McCoy is a Licensed Professional Counselor and the Executive Director of West Texas Counseling & Guidance. He has Masters degrees in Counseling Psychology and Interdisciplinary Studies in Public Administration, Government, and Management.
As an LPC Supervisor, Dusty provides supervision to LPC-interns, as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to the individuals and families who come to the Center for help. While under the supervision of Monica Basco, PhD, Dusty became a Certified Expert Trainer in CBT for The Department of State Health Services.
He was a research therapist for the study, “Bridging Science and Service”. In 2011, Dusty attended the renowned Beck Institute, focusing on personality disorders and challenging problems. In addition, he became a certified cognitive therapist through the Academy of Cognitive Therapy.
Dusty treats adolescents and adults coping with depression, grief, anxiety, trauma and other mental health issues. He is also certified in cognitive processing for PTSD. With patience and persistence, his clients cultivate greater confidence and self-esteem, richer relationships with partners and children, and more emotional balance and health.
Dusty has been with WTCG since 2007 and is officed on the 6th floor of the Cactus Hotel.
