Margarita Hunt has over ten years of experience in data collection and analysis. In her role at WTCG, she coordinates grant applications and report submissions across the WTCG programs. She is also the Evaluator for WTCG’s SAMHSA grant, Rural West Texas Zero Suicide Initiative. Margarita works collaboratively with staff, partner agencies, and stakeholders.
Margarita joined WTCG in 2018 as an AmeriCorps VISTA. Prior to that, Margarita was a teacher and research assistant at the University of Houston. In addition, Margarita was the program coordinator of Congreso Visible, a congressional watchdog in Colombia.
Margarita holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of Houston, Texas, and a Master’s and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Los Andes University in Bogotá, Colombia. In her spare time, Margarita enjoys reading and spending time with her family and friends.
