Marysol Y. Músquiz is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with Minor in Sociology from The University of Texas at San Antonio in 2008. She earned a Master of Social Work, with practice concentration of Hispanic children and families, from the Worden School of Social Service at Our Lady of the Lake University in 2017.
Marysol has experience working with individuals dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, self-esteem issues, grief, and suicidality. She has been trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for PTSD, Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS) theoretical framework, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) for children and adolescents, and Sandtray Therapy. She is currently under the Supervision of Mrs. Lisa Sobrero, LPC-S, RPT-S for certification of Registered Play Therapist through the Association for Play Therapy. She does not provide forensic interviews, custody and/or visitation evaluations, serve as an expert witness, or provide testimonial services in custody cases.
Marysol embraces the practices of self-care, mindfulness & gratitude, as well as the importance of establishing healthy relationships and boundaries. She is the mother of a two-legged and four-legged boy, a travel enthusiast, a concert-goer, and enjoys spending time with her family. She currently serves as a Board Member for Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Val Verde County.
