Her role as your counselor is to help you through a guided process to explore and discover known and unknown thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that may be impeding your best YOU. The two of you will work together toward establishing weekly or biweekly action-plans.

Her approach is to provide you support while teaching you hands-on Cognitive Behavior Therapy strategies to assist you in getting relief from your life stressors. She uses intentional, active listening while gathering information about your life. Sophia naturally tends to use an encouragement style of therapy, for instance, she will applaud your proactiveness in making strides toward changing your life by participating in counseling.
Sophia’s office hours are Mondays and Fridays. The essential first step to receive counseling services is to contact the WTCG’s Intake Team at (325) 944-2561. She is officed inside the Dora Roberts Rehabilitation Center in Big Spring.
