The Tom Green County Coalition against Violence is hosting a seminar on June 29, 3017 from 8:30am - 4pm

"The Risk of Being a Man"

During this seminar, we will address the particular risks related to mental health issues, suicide, and other related gender and sexuality issues associated with maleness.

Grandparents Raising Kin

Behavioral Intervention Skills Class

Learn the most effective methods to help reduce behavior problems in children.

Do you have a child with behavioral problems? If you are a parent or guardian and need help dealing with a child’s difficult behaviors, help is available! Learn how to effectively deal with acting out, how to best implement rewards and consequences, and learn how to empower instead of enable challenging behaviors. The difficult task of co-parenting is addressed, along with how to parent in the stepparent role. 

Class is conducted every Friday from 12pm to 1pm by a Licensed Professional Counselor at West Texas Counseling & Guidance, 36 E Twohig- TheCactus Hotel, 6th Floor. To register, call 325-944-2561.  Cost is only  $20 per participant, and you can pay on the day of the class. No paperwork to fill out.
